Kongsberg PCS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tooling Repair Technician to join our Field Service team on a part-time basis (10–20 hours/week, scheduled & flexible).
In this role, you will be responsible for testing, repairing, and restoring mechanical and electrical components critical to our production operations. You'll also ensure accurate tracking of all equipment as it moves through the repair process.

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and configure PCs, including hardware and Windows software.
- Test and restore electromechanical and electronic components.
- Perform functional testing on regenerative blowers.
- Operate the Kongsberg Cutting System to produce underlays and conveyor materials.
- Accurately document and track all equipment through the repair cycle.
- Follow detailed technical procedures and rebuild documentation.
- Contribute to workplace safety and operational support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electronics or mechanical repair.
- Strong understanding of PC hardware and Windows operating systems (7/10/11).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Comfortable working with line voltage systems and standard safety practices.
- Familiar with test instruments and mechanical/electrical repair tools.
- Forklift certification required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around machinery.
Working Relationships
- Reports to the Field Service Manager.
- Works closely with other technicians, customer service, and applications support.
- Interfaces with external vendors for equipment troubleshooting.
Performance Expectations
- Complete all required training within six months.
- Capable of performing machine installs and maintenance independently.
